Our line of Kinkeliba teas started in the kitchen of Isseu Diouf Campbell’s Harlem apartment.

Not a coffee drinker and unable to find a tea tasting like her grandmother’s, Isseu decided to use her grandma’s recipe and added a little twist. Kinkeliba Ginger Passion Tea was born.

As a good Senegalese, known for their sense of hospitality, Isseu would serve her Kinkeliba Ginger Passion Tea to guests, who would often suggest bottling it and selling it.

At first, she didn’t take them seriously, but in 2017 she decided to test her product at the Go Africa Carnival in Harlem. The tea sold out in record time.

Several fairs later, including Harlem Week and the International African Arts Festival, she realized that her Kinkeliba tea had potential in the New York market.

Now a Harlem Local Vendor Program member, she is working on getting her product in as many hands as possible.
